Thursday, 12th of November 2009 at 03:33:39 PMWe decided to do our bit for helping the affected people from this natural calamity. The team contributed to the cause through the Deccan Herald Prajavani Flood Relief Fund.
The entire north Karnataka and parts of coastal and Malnad regions are in the grip of one of the worst natural disasters the State has witnessed in a long time. The floods that have followed the torrential rains have brought unprecedented misery to lakhs of people. It has been in the form of death of many of their loved ones, destruction of houses, properties, crops and loss of most of their belongings. Rescue, relief and rehabilitation operations for the affected people are a gigantic task and it will take weeks, if not months.
